(Front row L to R) Jessie Zimmerman, Jaime Chambers, Jessie Bragg, Laura Rollyson, Shannon Gills, Sarah HINTON BOBCATS CAPTURE CHAMPIONSHIP The Hinton Bobcats, playing in the Athens Holiday Tournament at Concord College, captured the cham- pionship of the Athens Invitational Tournament by picking up a pair of victories over Athens 74 to 71 and Oakvale 96 to 69. The Bobcats trailed Athens 51 to 42, in the Friday night game, going into the final period but exploded in the 4th quarter outscoring Athens 32 to 20. Steven Brown had the hot hand in this quarter scoring 11 of his game high 24 points. He made two key shots in the last two minutes and converted both ends of one and one foul shot. Lament Smith added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the contest, fol- lowed by Ron Pack with 10; Pat Stennett, 9; Rusty~Cox ,8;, and Jon- athan Davis with_7 p0int+s and re c uncis. Hinton defeated Oakvale, Satur- day, in the championship game of the tournament in impressive fash- ion as 12 players got into the scoring column.
