HINTON BOBCATS
The Bobcats opened their season
with an overtime loss to Fayetteville
79 to 77. The Cats played well for
their first game but poor shooting,
only 37% from the floor, lead to their
defeat.
Lament Smith, a junior, had 27
points and 13 rebounds to lead Hin-
ton. Pat Stennett, a senior, had 18
points and 0 rebounds. Other scor-
ers were Rusty Cox, 10; Steven
Brown, 10; Ron Pack, 8; and Jon-
athan Davis, 4.

In the 2nd game for the Bobcats
this year Hinton defeated Union 83
to 67. The game was close for the 1st
half with Hinton ahead 42 - 41. The
Cats pulled ahead in the 2nd half to
stay and even their record to I and 1.
Lamont Smith again led Hint, on with
22 points and 19 rebounds. Steve
Brown added 19, Pat Stennett, 17;
Ron Pack, 13; Rusty Cox, 6; Jon-
athan Davis, 4; and Kelly Galloway,
2.

HINTON LADY CATS
Congradulation to Kim Gore and
Kim Wynes for making the WV Class
AA Girls All State Teams. This is
the 2nd year both girls have made
the All State Team.
TALCOTT J. H.
Shawn Mann scored 26 points to
lead Talcott to a win over Smoot last
week. Talcott J. H. are now 2 and 1
on the season. In the J. V. game
Talcott won 57 to 36. Tucker Ford
had 17 points and Lacy Gunnoe had
16 points.
The Bobcats will play Friday
; night in the Athen Holiday

Janetto Yopp, a freshman co-
captain for Hinton Jr. High was
named to the 1990 Summers -
Monroe All Conference Team for
her play during the 1990 season.
Janette was also named to the
All Tournament Team for her
performance in the conference
tournament. Janette showed her
versatility by playing every
position for the Lady Bobcate
and averaging 9 points, 5 re-
bounds, and 2 assists per game
while being an important part of
Hinton's full court pressure
defense.
