From Page Three Obituaries KAREN SUE TAYLOR Karen Sue Taylor, 33, of Marie, died suddenly Saturday at 3:45 a.m. at her home. Born Jan. 31, 1970, at Roanoke, Va., she was the daughter of Edward and Janice Bonds Taylor of Marie. Karen had lived most of her life at Marie. She was a 1988 graduate of Hinten High School. Besides her parents, she is survived by three sisters, Brenda Vass of Marie, Barbara Taylor of Dameron and Teresa Miller of Jumping Branch; a special niece whom she helped rear, Heather Vass of Marie; and a special cousin, Lois Graham of Forest Hill; one additional niece, Felicia Miller; one nephew, Zernie Miller, Jr., both of Jumping Branch; and several aunts, uncles and other cousins. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Donald Lee Altizerofficiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gard.. : Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements by Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors, Hinton. GARY LEE TEABO Gary Lee Teabo, 52, of Beaver, formerly of Hinton, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003 at his home. Born Nov. 12, 1951, at Hinton, he was the son of Jean Swiger Clark of Hinton and the late Russell E. Teabo. Mr. Teabo was shift supervisor in corrections with the Southern Regional Jail in Beaver and was a former police officer with the City of Hinton Police Department. He was of the Baptist faith. Other survivors besides his mother include two sisters, Sharon Teabo of Morefield, W.Va., and Carolyn Spencer of Ashland, Ky.; and a brother, Bill Clark of Bushkill, Pa. Service was 2 p.m. Thursday, December llth. at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastors Grever Morris and Roy Lee Honaker Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Restwood Memorial Gardens, Hinton. Friends called one hour before the service Thursday at the funeral home. Stafffrom the Southern Regional Jail served as pallbearers. Arrangements by Pivont Funeral Home, Hinton. CHARLES R. WALKER Charles R. Walker, 69, of Hinton, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantewn following a long illness. Born Sept. 16, 1934, at Marie, he was the son of the late Ward and Alzie Mann Walker. Mr. Walker was a retired auto mechanic and was formerly employed by the O.R. Grimmett Motor Company in Hinton. He was a lover of country music and a guitar enthusiast. He was preceded in death by a brbther, Sonny Walker and a grandson, Charles Pitzer. Survivors include a son, Charles Leon Walker of Largo, Fla.; three daughters, Brenda K. Walker of Morgantown, Terri S. Walker of McKenna, Wash., and Sherri L, Walker of Sedro Woolley, Wash.; a sister, Sadie Martin of Hinton; a granddaughter, Cheryl L. Valdez of Mt. Vernon, Wash.; one great- grandson, Joseph Antonio Yaldez of Mt. Veznon, Wash.; and two nephews, Mike Walker of Lake Gaston, N.C., and David Bostic of Ky. Service was 2 p.m. Friday, December 12th. at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel, Hinton with the Rev. Warren Gilpin officiating. Burial followed in the Greenville Methodist Church Cemetery, Greenville. Friends called from 12 noon until time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements by Pivont Funeral Home, Hinton. Featuring Bruce Crevier and the Crevier Family at 7:00 Pit Row Stores, and the Summers County Lady Bobcats Program announce that the annual Pit Row Classic Girls' Basketball Tournament will be Friday and Saturday December 19th. and 20th. at Summers County High School. The tournament field features the Summers Co. Lady Bobcats, who hold the state class "AA" record for consecutive appearances in the West Virginia State Tournament, and the state Tournament Team and the state ranked "AAA  Princeton Tigers. Pocahontas County a 2003 West Virginia State Tournament Team and "AA" Clay Co. round out the outstanding tournament field. Pairings for the tournament are as follows: Friday Dec. 19th., 4:00 p.m. Summers J. V. v. Pocahontas Co. J. V.; 5:30 p.m., Princeton v. Pocahontas County; 8:00 p.m. Summers County v. Clay County. Saturday, 2 p.m., Summers Middle 8th. v. Mercer Christian 8th:, 4 p.m. Summers County J. V. v. Pocahontas Co., 6 p.m. Consolation Game; 7:30 p.m. Championship Game. The presentation of trophies will be at the conclusion of the championship game by Greg Rogers, president of Pit Row Store Inc.
