Plumley of Meadow Creek, WV re-
tired from active duty with the U. S.
Army on 1 Nov. 1990 after 20 years
of distinguished service.
SFC Plumley is the son of E.C.
and Georgia Plumley of Meadow
Creek. He attended Sandstone High
School and enlisted in the Army
during his senior year to serve in
Vietnam. He completed his high
school education and attended Mid-
land Technical College in S.C. while
in the army.
SFC Plumley served with distinc-
tion in Vietnam, Germany, Korea,
Grenada, Africa and the U.S. during
his 20 years as a soldier. While in
Korea, he visited the area where his
brother, Harold, was killed in the
last year of the Korean War.
