county problems would not come
from outside state conglomerates,
but to be successful must come from
within our local area in the form of

Club Signs Up
For Adopt-A-
Program in

when I can't get to Hinton to take the
classes?" That is a common question
that many people have asked when
considering taking GED classes. The
answer used to be, "I'm sorry but
that is the only place we offer the
classes." The new answer is that
Summers County Schools is now
offering GED preparation classes in
four rural areas of the county. The
four rural sites for the classes are as
follows:

To register for these• classes you
should call the princi pal ofthe school
and give him your name, address,
and phone number. There is no
charge for these classes. However,
there has to be ten people sign up for
each class in order for it to be taught.
The class will meet for three hours
one night a week at a time and day to
be decided later by the people taking
the class.

you would like to earn your GED
diploma Or just learn more to help
you get a better job this may be the
opportunity you have been looking
for.

The Key Club of Hinton High
School recently inducted 28 mem-
bers at their Fall Membership In-
duction. It was held on Fri. Nov. 9 at
the First Baptist Church in Hinton.
In a candle-lit ceremony, under
the International Theme of "Renew
Your Committment", members were
presented their Key Club Pins and
Membership Certificates by Key
Club President Stephen Shrader,
and Kiwanis President Joe
Woodfield. The Objectives of Key
Club International were presented
by Lt. Governor Roy Richmond.
Members were officially installed by
Kiwanis Advisor James Martin.
Membership in the largest High
School Service Organization is ex-
tended to Male and Female Students
in Grades 9-12. Hinton High School
Key Club began it's 46th year of
existence with 4 returningmembers,
and built it to 28 members strong.
Inducted into the membership were:
