Of particular note. this summer, the West Vir- ginia National Guard awarded a contract for construction of the new Regional Training Institute at Camp Dawson, Preston.County. Last year, I obtained $15,2 million for construction of the Regional Train- ing Institute, which, when com- plete, will fill an important role in preparing members of the National Guard. The couple were married July 21, 1949 at the home of Rev. L. D. Candler at Peterstown, WV. Attendants were Emma Jean Shires Biggs and Early Humphreys. They are both graduates of Peterstown High School and Sid from Coyne Electric School of Chicag0, IL. Sid is retired from the CSX Railway with 36 years of service. A beautiful three-tiered wedding cake was prepared and served by • Carolyn Jones, Irene's sister-in-law.
