SUPPLEMENTAL DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT
BLUESTONE DAM SAFETy MODIFICATION PROJECT
BLUESTONE DAM, SUMMERS COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers ttuntington District, by this Public Notice, advises
the public that the review and comment period for the Supplemental Draft Environmental
Impact Statement (SDEIS) for the Bluestone Dam Safety Modification Project has been
extended to November 23, 2016 due to technical issues with the provided email address
used for the SDEIS comment period. If any comments were previously sent to the
provided email address, the comments were not received and will need to be
resubmitted. Public review for the SDEIS began on September 1, 2016. Bluestone Dam
is located on the New River in St/miners County, West Virginia. A Record of Decision
(ROD) is anticipated for the. proposed action: A draft ROD is included with the SDEIS
for public review. Upon the close of the comment period, USACE will consider all
substantive comments and if necessary conduct further analysis.
