ZONA THURMON WILSON
Zona Thurmon Wilson, 90, of
Nimitz, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2003,
at 9 p.m. in the Summers County
Continuous Care Center at Hilldale
following a long illness.
Born Feb. 26, 1913, in Shirley,
Ark., she was the daughter of the
late Marion Harrison and Mary
Hensley Harness.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of the
Grace Baptist Church at Nimitz.
Her first husband, Eldridge
Thurmon; her second husband,
Woodrow Wilson, and a son, Ken
Thurmon, preceded Mrs. Wilson in
death.
She is survived by a daughter,
Loretta Thurmon Amick and her
husband, Carl, of Nimitz; eight
grandchildren, Steven Amick of
Colonial Beach, Va., Richard Amick
of King George, Va., Gene Amick and
wife, Janet, ofNimitz, Ronda Bachar
and husband, Doug, of Morgantown,
Kenny Thurmon and wife, Cathy,
Tim Thurmon and wife, Marijane,
Sherri Thurmon Gainous and
husband, Darrold, David Thurmon
and wife, Cheryl, all of California;
11 great-grandchildren also survive.
Service was 11 a.m. Wednesday,
'October 29th. at Grace Baptist
Church at Nimitz with Pastor Bill
Ballengee officiating. Burial
followed in the Lilly-Crews
Cemetery at Nimitz.

Summers County ARH Hospital in
Hinton following a long illness.
Born June 20, 1915, in Hinton,

Creek, and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by a
son, Charles Wyant; and several

daughter, Melba Fee of Salisbury,
Md.; six grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren.
Service was 2 p.m. Sunday at
Pivont Funeral Home Chapel,
Hinton, with Pastor George Cook
officiating. Burial followed in Valley
View Cemetery on Powleys Creek.
Friends called 6 to 8 p.m.
Saturday, November 1st. at the
funeral home.
