(John 8:32) By Fred Seavers Our Givino God We live in a world where selfishness is often the cornerstone of people's lives. If it does not profit us, or elevate us in some way, then we have no use for it. Mankind often takes one from another, only to satisfy his own desires. In our cutthroat type society, it sometimes seems impossible that there would be one who is so far greater than man, who loved man enough, as to give His only begotten Son to satisfy the debts of mankind. Of course, I am speaking of God our Father's giving of His miraculously, virgin 10om, fleshly son, Jesus. What Jesus gave up when He left that beautiful home in Heaven we cannot begin to understand-- Philippians 2. I don't kno what all He lost in coming to Earth to diefor mankind, but I know He took care of a debt which I could never pay -- Romans 3:23; 6:23. .:, Jesus has made a way for us to follow Him home to Heaven when He comes again, Not only did He give His life in a cruel and agonizing death, for the sake of sinful man -- He has returned to Heaven to prepare us a place where we can live eternally wit our Heavenly Father, if we will but obey H word -- John 14:15• Can you think of any greater gifts than these? ...
