DALE ELWELL TO PERFORM TRAIN DAYS CONCERT Dale Elwell and his Crossculture Band will perform during the Train Days Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 16th. at the Hinton Community Center, 306 Second Avenue, (former Radio Shack store) Hinton, during the hours from 3 to 5 P. M Dale, son of the Reverend and Mrs. D..D. Elwell, is an accomplished musician and is also a Christian Minister. Dale lives in Gibsonville. North Carolina. The general public is cordially invited to hear this very talented singer and his band. The program is sponsored by TRAC., the Three Rivers Arts Council in conjunction with Train Days. DIABETIC SUPPORT GROUP The Diabetic Support Group will meet Thursday, October 21, at 6:30 p.m. at Princeton Community Hospital Education Department Rooms 1 & 2, For more information, please call 487-7283 or 487-7642. POT LUCK DINNER A "Pot Luck" dinner will be held October 19 at 6 p. m. in the cafeteria of Greenbrier Manor, Fairlea, by Concerned Nurses of West Virginia. All RNs and invited to bring a dish of their choice, whether meat, vegetable, salad or dessert. Drinks and eating utensils will be furnished. Following the dinner and election of officers there will be a brief program, "Y2K Preparedness," by Norma Ramsey, Executive Director of the Greenbrier County Red Cross. The show willfeature various magic tricks and a lot of audience participation. Fregonnara has performed during many events throughout the nation and says he looks forward to his appearance in Hinton. '" I I IIIII I I I Three Rivers Avian Center Presentation The Three Rivers Avian Center will present an environmental education program during the Railroad Days Festival in Hinton on October 16 & 17. Ron .and Wendy Perrone, along with 6 of their feathered friends, will give an interesting presentation on birds of prey and the physical therapy treatments used for these and other threatened species of wild birds. Each program includes a hands-on display of feathers for the audience to see and handle from raptors native to West Virginia. The presentation will take place in Towne Square. REVIVAL SERVICES Revival services will be held at Freedom Baptist Church on Powleys Creek Oct. 18-22 at 7:00 P.M. nightly. Guest speaker will be Joe Boland. Pastor George Cook and congregation invites everyone to attend. POTATO BAKE On October 23, there will be a Potato Bake at St. Patrick's Church on Temple Street in the parish hall.
