The Hinton Lions Club is asking
for the Communities support in
helping to provide those who need,
eye examinations or eye glasses.
The Hinton Lions have been
providing assistance for over 18
years and are asking community
organizations and businesses as well
as citizens for monetary donations
to continue providing help to those
in need in our community. As news
spreads of the help being provided,
requests are now outnumbering the
Lions Club's ability to help.
Once a request is received, the
individual's application is screened
to insure that other avenues of
assistance are pursued before the
Lions Club provides help.

We must continue to move our state forward. ! have listed

few ideas that i think will help in that effort:
I ) Technical school scholarships should be available to all
high school graduates,
2) We must phase out the state income tax on Social Security.
3) Beginning teacher pay must be raised so we can compete
surrounding states for new teachers.
4) Currently gas is measured at the well when extracted but
it would
be more accurate if it was measured at the first point of sale.
5) We must do more to advertise and promote our state
beyond our
borders.
6) We need to restore the funding to Fairs and Festivals Cut
Governor Tomblin three years ago.
7) The Accountability and
(GATE) must be kept in place.
My friends, we must diversify our economy. We cannot depend
on one or two major industries with uncertain demand for
them to drive our economy going forward. We must also
have to have a healthy, trained and willing workforce if we
are to ever achieve diversification. ! would appreciate your
