FOSTER HOME SHORTAGE Curently there is a foster home shortage within our state. Children are being removed from their homes without enough foster homes to meet the demand. When this occurs children are placed in shelters, sent to residential facilities, or even having to spend days,even weeks in hotels with Department of Health and Human Resource staff due to lack of foster homes.
