VARSITY FOOTRAI
The Hinton Bobcats were defeated
by the Greenbrier West Cavaliers
Friday by a score of 18 - 0. West is
rated one of the top teams in AA this
year.
The Bobcats played with the
Cavaliers for throe quarters only
beingbehindby 6 points. West scored
twice in the fourth quarter to final-
ize the score.
I noticed that West used several
players against HJnton and gradu-.
ally wore them down. Quarterback
Steve Brown was injured in the first
half and did not see action in the
second half. Hinton's line led defen-
sively by Bobby Fox with 11 tackles,
Tracy Richmond, Erie Frazier and
Matt Redes each with 10 held the
Cavaliers at bay.
The Cavaliers seemed to pass the
ball at will against Hinton's secon-
dary. Grog Carr recovered a fumble
for the Cats.
The Cats are now 2-4 on the sea-
son and will not play this week.
They have two weeks to prepare for
their homecoming against Richwood.
We are hoping the time off will help
Rich Lytle and Steven Brown get
over their injuries and get ready for
the next game.
