Be Alert For Disaster Drill On October 9th, at 8:00 a.m. a Disaster Drill has been set within the New River Gorge for the purpose of obtaining know- ledge of how long it will take rescue crews to get to and remove victims from a very inaccessible area. Those taking part are as follows: Railroads: Chesapeake and Ohio Rail Road and Amtrack. State Agencies: Office Of Em- ergency Services, Emergency Medical Services- Beckiey, Em- ergency Medical Services - Charleston, and Departmentof Natural Resources. Federal Agencies: Civil Def- ense Unit- Raleigh, and Civil Defense Unit- Fayette. National Guard Units: 444th Medical Batallion- Beckiey, and 193rd Engineer Company- Oak Hill. Hospitals: Summers County Hospital, Princeton Community Hospital, Bluefield Community Hospital, Raleigh General Hos- pital, Charleston Area Medical Center, Veterans Hospital- Bec- kley, Beckiey Appachian Reg- ional Hospital, Montgomery General Hospital, Beckiey Hos- pital, Oak Hill Hospital, and Summersville Memorial Hospital.
