Convention Slated For
Pence Springs Hotel
Plans and committees for the
Southern District convention to be
held at Pence Springs Hotel in Sept.:
with the Hinton Woman's Club as
host were outlined at the Aug. meet-
ing of the club. .
The convention is scheduled for

Ann Deeds Jacobs has been ap-
pointed the administrator ofLa Casa
Grande Retirement & Assisted Liv-
ing Center, a 73 unit complex in
Englewood, Fla.
Ann has been witht he Retire-
ment Center since Jan. ~J0 which is
a small group of retirement centers
throughout Fla.
She has been successful in in-
creasing occupancy at her center by
being creative with her marketing
skills, and with the assistance ofher
activities director has been able to
fulfill life long wishes of some of her
residents who's average age is 85
years and plus. She has assisted
them in learning how to scuba dive,
become a clown for the circus, wind
sail lessons and many other activi-
ties which continues to encourage
their independence.
Ann presently has developed an

Retires After 22 Years With Postal Service
Joe Meadows retires after 22 years with the Postal Service
in Hinton, WV. He was presented with a rocking chair from
the employees. Joe lives at Hilldale with his wife Shirley. Joe
plans to do a little farming and hunting.
