NOLA FRANCINE LILLY Nola Francine Lilly 85, of Hilldale, died at 8:35 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2016 at Summers Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a long illness. Born May 21, 1931 at Creamery, she was the daughter of the late Everett M. and Flora C. Lawrence Simmons. Mrs. Lilly was a retired teacher's aide for the Summers County Board of Education. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church at Talcott, the United Methodist Women at both Trinity Methodist and Mt. Pisgah Methodist at Hilldale, the Hilldale-Talcott Ruritan Club and the Summers County Retired School Employees. She loved to cook for family and friends and adored her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a • sister, Margie Frederick. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Denver D. Lilly; one son, Kevin W. Lilly and wife Carolyn of Hilldale; three daughters, Patricia L. Barrett of Baltimore, MD, Kay Holland" and husband Nelson of Raleigh, N(~. and Kerri J. She loved her job, coworkers, and everyone she met. She was a member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Hinton where she was an active member until her illness. She was a Red Cross Bloodmobile and Cancer Society volunteer, and avid Bunko player. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and pets (Homer, Morgan, and Jasper). It's rare to find a person with such a kind heart and beautiful smile. She was truly one of a kind and will be loved and missed by all who knew her. Visitation was held Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton, WV from 4 until 7 pm. A Christian Wake Service was held at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Fr. Rey Landicho as celebrant.
