evening June 15 at Blacksburg
Baptist Church in Blacksburg, VA.
The bride is the daughter of Dr.
and Mrs. Fred Webb Jr. of Boone,
N.C. and granddaughter of Mrs.
Cassia Haynes of Hinton and Mrs.
Elsie Webb of Hopkinsville, Ky.
She is a 1983 graduate of Virginia
Polytechnic Institute and State
University with a bachelor of Archi-
tecture degree. She is currently on a
master's degree in Architecture at
VPI & SU.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Andres Siochi of Manila,
the Philippines. He received a B.S.
degree in physics from Ateneo de
Manila, the Philippines and an M.S.
degree and a Ph.D. in physics from
VPI & SU. He is a visiting professor
of physics at Muskingum College in
New Concord, Oh.
Dr. Houston Couch and Dr. Don
McKeon, both of Blacksburg, offici-
ated in the double-ring ceremony.
Sandy Wontrop of Blacksburg di-
rected the wedding.
Music was provided by Mr. and

HINTON SERVICE CLUB
The Hinton Service Club met SepL
12, for a dinner meeting at the home
of Mrs. Bobby Basham with Mrs. L.
R. Pivont, Jr. as co-hostess. A deli-
cious buffet was enjoyed on the beau-
tifully decorated patio.
Newly elected president Mrs.
Richard Gunnee was in charge of the
business meeting. Areport was given
by Mrs. W.P. Mathews concerning
the clubs representative to Girls
State, Miss Paige Gwinn.

Festival Committee expressing

Cheerleaders
Everything you need to learn to
be a good cheerleader, will be taught
by the CONCORD CHEERLEAD-
ERS in their annual cheerleading
clinic, Sat. Sept. 21 from 8:30 to 2:30.
The clinic will include instruction in
Cheers, Sidelines, Gymnastics,
Dance, Partner Stunts, Pyramids
and Mounts.
The cost for the'day will be $15.00
which does not include lunch. Tee-
shirts will be available for $5.00.

take part in this learning experi-
