BOBCAT FOOTBALL
The Hinton Bobcats captured
their first victory of the year by de-
feating Pocohontas County 26-0. The
Bobcats used a strong passing game
to score all four touchdowns on the
night. Steven Brown threw 12
passes, completing 6 for a total of
153 yds., three touchdown passes
and rushed 45 yds.

In the second half, with a steady
rain falling on the field, neither team
had much of an offensive success.
The Bobcats were led in rushing by
freshman Bruce Jackson with 13
carries for 75 yds. Leading the de-
fensive unit with 11 carries each
was junior Greg Carr and sophmore
Matt Rodes.
Ron Pack intercepted a pass and
Bobby Fox recovered a fumble for
the Bobcats. Defensive end Rusty
Cox, playing in his first game this
year, ha'd an e×cellent defensi ve and
offensive game.

with 58 seconds remaining. The 7th
& 8th Grad Lady Cats had their
opportunities but were unable to
recapture the lead•
