The Airways At WVU
Hoppy Kercheval of Metronews broadcasts his
statewide radio show live from West Virginia
University's Mountainlair Ballrooms during a
recent visit to the West Virginia Governor's
Honors Academy. Students in John Rote's Mass
Media and Society class talked with Kercheval
about whether or not they plan to leave the state
to pursue their chosen careers and if they are
afraid to go to school since events such as the

Community Educational Outreach
Service Clubs (formerly Extension
Homemakers) will be held August
27-29, 1999 at theAppalachian Arts
and CraRs Festival at the Raleigh
County Armory.
Seventeen categories have been
developed for this year. Prize monies
and ribbons are awarded to Best of
Show, People's Choice, First, Second
and Third place winners.

County Parish of the United
Methodist Church cordially invite

the Old Rehoboth Church in Union,
West Virginia. This church is the
oldest Protestant church west
of the Allegheny Mountains. The
worship service will be held on
Sunday, August 29, at 5:00 p. m.
followed by a covered dish picnic.
Tours of the museum will also be
