Local Auutioneer Attends National Auctioneers Association 50th. Anniversary Convention Randy S. Burdette of Riverbend Auction Company in Alderson, was among the auctioneers from throughout the United states and Canada who attended the 1999 National Auctioneers Association (NAb,) national convention. The convention was held July 20-24 in Grand Rapids, Mich., and marked the 50th. anniversary of the Association. NAA conducted more than 30 workshops and seminars during the convention. Some of the subjects covered included classic automobile auctions, auction advertising and technology trends. The exploding world of online auctions and the role of traditional auctioneers with them was a topic of discussion at the convention. Riverbend Auction Co. will soon be implementing rretreactive and live internet bidding capabilities to their auction services.
