WHAT WE BELIEVE
at Riverview Chapel
SOME POINTS TO PONDER:
WHAT ABOUT ETERNAL SALVATION?
A very helpful Scflpture to ms when I trusted the Lord at the age
of 15 was John 5:24: "Veflly, verily I say unto you, He that belleveth
on Him ttmt sent me, hath aveflssting life, and shall not come into
condemnation (or Judgment); but is passed from death unto life."
A friend of rnine who Is now with the Lord, recaived his assurance
from John 6:37: "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me:
and him that €ometh to me I will in now wise cast out." The thought
of the Greek them Is "1 will never, never cast out." Earthly children
are soffmtlmes diKKlient and may do things that shock and
disgra(,I) ttmir bt.,t that does not change the relationship
of parent ohlld.
On• of the most encouraging Scriptures for many of God's
children is found in John 10:27,28: "My sheep hear my voice, and
I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them ETERNAL
LIFE: and they shall NEVER perish, neither shall any man pluck
them out of my hand."
In John 17.-12 The Lord says: "Those that thou hast given me I
have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of pardltion: that
tha crlpture might be fulfilled." Of course Judas never was a
believer, as John 6:70 tells us: "Have not I chomn you twelve,
and one of you is a devil, (or a demon)?"
