that can be rec~mited or developed for the downtown
The project area is in Summers County, West
Vlr$inia. The project outcome is one completed
downtown market m~l~mis.
The eslected co~mltant will work closely with the '
City of Hinton, Region I Planning and Development
Council and other project team members as deemed
m~mmmy• Procurement of said esrvicos shall be in
a¢vesdanes with 24 CFR Part 85 and West Virginia
Cede Cimpter 5G. All roneeltents intorested in being
~idered for ~ project must submit information
detailing qualifications, technical expertise,
management and staffing capabilities and related
mq=erience.
The object of the competitive process is to
e~vely select the firm who will provide the highest
qual/ty of esrvies• Accordingly technical qualifications
and experience will be weighed heavily. Selected
mspondento will be interviewed and the firm judged
meat qualified will be selected.

The West Virginia Humanities
Council is seeking proposals for its
upcoming September 1 grant
deadline. Four grant categories will
be offered to nonprofit organizations
that provide public humanities
programming for West Virginia
:audiences.
The Council encoui ages proposals
from colleges and universities,
schools, libraries, historical
,societies, parks, convention and
visitor bureaus, historic sites,
museums, civic and service
organizations, cultural groups, and
local government agencies. A
description of each grant category
follows:
Major grants. This category•
supports public programs including,
but not limited to, lectures, school
projects, symposia, panel
discussions, reading and discussion
series, exh.ibits, reenactments, and
conferences.
Major grant proposals may
request up to $20,000. Applicants
must allow twelve weeks between
the deadline and the start of the
project.
Media grants. This category
supports the planning, scripting,
and production of audio or video
materials, websites, or a newspaper
series. Media grant proposals may
