The only person identified in this photo of White Oak School is Cecil Cochran, first row, 3rd from the left; Cecil is now 100 years old and living in Roanoke. On Saturday, July 9, after a short rain delay, a cow bell rang out to start the runners in the John Henry Four Mile Run. All the runners enjoyed the scenic route from the northern end of the Talcott Bridge that followed the beautiful Greenbrier River to the historic Keller Presbyterian Church and back. In addition to the four mile run, many individuals enjoyed participating in the one mile fun walk. All participants in both the run and fun walk, sponsored by Forest Hill Family Practice, James Blume, D.O., Forest Hill, WV and Active Southern West Virginia, received a t-shirt. The top race finishers as well as the first place finishers in each male and female division were awarded medals. The following are the race results for the 2016 John Henry Four Mile Run.
