William W. White, 86, of
Meadow Creek, Summers
County, died Tuesday July 17 in
Raleigh General Hospital, Bec-
kley, after a long illness.
He was a member of the
Church of Christ and was a
retired miner.
Surviving are: wife, Cealy
Ann; sons, Henry of Orlando,
Fla., Timothy of Vansant, Va.,
Albert of Meadow Creek; dau-
ghter, Mrs. Pauline Frederick
'of Pinson, Ga.; sisters, Mrs.

Ohio; Mary White of Lerona; 18
grandchildren;six great

Services were held at 1 p.m.
Friday July 20 at Sandstone
Baptist Church, Summers Co-
unty, with the Rev. George
Cook and the Rev. C. C. Corker
officiating. Burial followed in
the Cooper Cemetery at Sand-
stone

• WEIKLE
Mrs. Blanche M. Weikle, 84,
of Rt. 1, died Tuesday, July 17,
at home after a long illness.
Born April 24, 1200, in Sum-
mers County, she was a dau-
ghter of the late Andrew and
Ettie Mann Miller.
Mrs. Weilde was a member of
Springfield Primitive Baptist
Church near Greenville.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Walter Welkle,
Nov. 25, 1983.
Survivors include a foster
daughter, Irene Fleshraan of
Union; a niece; six grandchild-
ren; 20 great - grandchildren
and two ~great - great - grand-
children.
Services were held Thursday
July 19at 11 a.m. in the Broyles
- McGuire Funeral Home in
Union @ith the Rev. Arvfl Neely
officiating. Burial followed in
the Maintain View Cemetery at
Weikle.
JOHNSON
Mrs. Libys Barker Johnson,
of 106 Park Ave., died Wed-
nesday,
July 18 in a Summers
County Hospital after a Y~hort
illness.
Born in Summers County, she
was a daughter of the late
Thomas and Wostinetta
Barker.
Mrs. Johnson was a member
of First Baptist Church and the
Alice Randall Mission Circle of
the church. She was a retired
school teacher, a member of
Delphi Club and the Stitch and
Chat~r Club.
Sl~as preceded in death by
her husband, Clyde Johnson in
1958.
She has no immediate sur-
vivors.
Services were held Friday
July 20 at 11 a.m. in the E. M.
Meadows Funeral Home in Hin-
ton with the Rev. Lance Vast
officiating. Burial followed in
the Gretnbrier Burial Park in
Hinton.
The Men's Bible Class of the
First Baptist Church served as
pallbearers.
JOHNSON
Boujamin Franklin Johnson,
infant son of Robert Monroe
and Marq Jacqueline Perdue
Johnson, was stillborn Friday
July 20 at 1:55 a.m. in a
Summers County Hospital.
Other survivors include pat-
ernal grandmother, Rachel C.
• Johnson and maternal grand-
mother, Minnie Marie Perdun,
both of Meadow Bridge.
Gravoside services were held
Sunday July 22 at 2 p.m. in the
Claypool Community Cemetery
at Meadow Bridge with Min-
ister Wesley Dandridge offici-
ating.
There was no visitation.
The Melton Mortuary in Bee-
kley~was in charge of arrange-
meats.

Billy Lawson Williams St.,
57, Iron Gate, died Thursday in
Allegheny Regional Hospital.
He was born in Huntington, W.
Va. April 16, 1927, the son of the
late William F. Williams and
Besse Mae Whitlock Williams.
He was a retired carman for
the C&O Railroad. He was a
member of Iron Gate Baptist
Church. He was a former mem-
ber of Hospital Board, a for-
mer representative of BRC of
United States and Canada. He
was a member of BRC of
United States and Canada, and
VFW Burnside Carpenter Post.
He was a veteran of U. S. World
War II Marine Corp.
Mr. Williams is survived by
his wife, Mrs. Mary Mundy
Williams; four daughters, Mrs.
Gerald (Janice) Turner , Cl-
ifton Forge, Mrs. John ( Mary
Ann) Zadell, Norfolk, Mrs. Ro-
bert ( Norman Jean) Quinn,
Madisonville, Ky., Mrs. Mich-
ael (Amy) Persinger, Clifton
Forge; five sons, Ronald Lee
Williams, San Diego, Calif.,
Billy L. Williams Jr., Clifton
Forge, David Wayne Williams,
Fort McClellan, Ala., Allan
Preston Williams, Iron Gate,
John Andrew Williams, at

Funeral services were held
Saturday at 2 p.m. from the
Nicely Funeral Home Chapel
conducted by the Rev. John
Miller. Interment was at All-
eghany Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers were Gar-

yde Reynolds, Lee Armstrong,
Lewis Scott, R. J. Wilmer,
Percy Martin, Buck Sampson,
