WHAT WE BELIEVE
at Riverview Chapel
SOME POINTS TO PONDER:
WHAT ARE THE EVIDENCES OF SALVATION?
NEW CREATION FOR THE CHRISTIAN UFE: 2 Cor. 5:17 says:
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things
are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
NEW CONFESSION BECOMES A WAY OF LIFE: In Romans 10:9
we read "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus;
and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the
dead, thou shelt be saved. For with the heart man belleveth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation."
NEW COMPANIONS BECOME VERY IMPORTANT: I John 3:14
states: We know that we have passed from death unto life, because
we love the brethren. He that Ioveth not his brother abldeth In
death."
NEW CHOICES TAKES PLACE BECAUSE OF A SPIRITUAL
1 .He Loves the Milk of the Word: I Pet. 2:2 "As newborn babes
desire the sincere milk of the Word that ye may grow thereby."
Jeremiah 15:16: "Thy words were found, and I did eat them; end
thy Word was unto me the Joy end rejoicing of mine heart: for I
am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts."
NEW CONFLICTS ARE PROMISED IN THE WORD:
1. The Warfare: Gel- 5:17 "For the flesh luatath against the
Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary one
to another: so that ye cannot do the things ye would."
2; The Walk and the Winning: Gel 5:16: "Walk in the Spirit
and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.'
