Red and Purple at the John Henry Days and the Trout House The Red Hat Society is planning a float in the John Henry Days Parade on Saturday, July 12th. Red Hatters and Redhat Wannabees will be gathering to decorate the wagon at the Talcott School in Talcott at 9 a.m.. Come dressed in your Red and Purple and bring any festive decorations that you would like to add to the float. All Red Hatters and Red Hat Wannabees are welcome. On Monday, July 14th., the Red Hatters will gather at the Trout House in Lindside, WV. at 12:30 p.m. The Trout House is a mile offRt. 219 between Lindside and Peterstown. Turn on Wilson Road. Receives License On June 8th, 2003 Elk Knob Baptist Church licensed Brother Harry Allen of Hinton, a member of the church, into the gospel ministry. Harry has been a deacon for over 35 years and has been a great asset to the churches he has attended. Harry looks forward to preaching the gospel wherever God gives him the opportunity. If you are over fifty a red hat is a must. Purple outfits, dresses, slacks with scarves, etc. are encouraged. A pink hat is a must for the Ladies in Waiting who are not yet fifty. Lavender accessories are encouraged. There will be no dues. Meals are "dutch treat. This week our staff would like to recognize several volunteers who are returning for another summer at Energy Express. All of these volunteers have been very helpful with the various reading and art activities this first week. Erica Justice is 14 years old and a rising freshman at Summers County High School. She has been volunteering at the Energy Express site since the first day that the children arrived, usually staying well past the time the children leave. During the school year, she participates on the track and volleyball teams. Allison Richmond is 14 years old and a rising freshmen at Summers County High School. This summer is her third year volunteering at A.C.W.P. ADOPTION This beautiful 6 month old Black Lab mix puppy is available for adoption. Good with cats and children.
