CHARLES MEADOR
As he sat visiting with his wife,
the Lord took "Chuck" Meador
home. Bern in Smithers, West
Virginia, on August 22,1938,
Charles E. Meador, Sr. was the
oldest son of John and Thelma
Meador. He lived his youth in West
Virginia; after graduation Chuck
joined the Air Force andproudly
served his country for twenty years.
After his stint in the service, he
returned to college, earned his
degree in Business Management
and began his second career.
For another twenty years he
worked in the food and beverage
industry as a director at the
Sheraton Hotel in Dover, Delaware.
In 1985 Chuck married the love
of his life, Charmaine Noland. The
blending of two daughters and two
sons blessed this union. Chuck and
Charmaine devoted their lives to
their family. Chuck coached his boys
through t-ball and Little League,
volunteered as a Cub Scout leader,
and later coached his two sons as
they played football. Chuck always
expressed great pride in his
daughter Vicki's life as a devoted
wife and mother and in daughter
Dawna's business acumen. In 1992
Chuck and Charmaine returned to
Montana to live closer to family. In
Billings, Chuck finished his career
in the food and beverage industry at
the Elk's Club. Always a man who
focused and worked diligently,
Chuck then Worked for the U.S.
Postal Service.
Upon "retirement" he began to
buy and maintain rental ~its..He
: ]~ved with integrity, aa~ admirable
• work=ethic, and .a ~ desire :to
contribute positively to his world.
Fly fishing and hunting filled
Chucks free time. We will remember
him as an ardent supporter of Griz
football, a passion he shared with his
sons.
Chuck is survived by his wife
Charmaine Meador; daughters Vicki
(Michael) Gibfried; Dawna Metcalf;
and sons Jeremiah (Jenell); and
Chaz (Vivian). His life was enriched
by seven grandchildren and five
great grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his parents and
his brother John.
Memorial services were held at
Atonement Lutheran Church,1290
Sierra Granda Blvd. on Wednesday,
June 8, at 11:00 a.m. A reception
followed with a private military
burial. Memorials are suggested to
Project Healing Waters, P.O. Box
695, La Plata, MD. 20646.

Chuck will forever fly free on the
wings of a snow white dove.

The Hinton Lions Club is asking
for the Communities support in
helping to provide thosewho need,
eye examinations or eye glasses.
The Hinton Lions have been
providing assistance for o ve~18
years and are asking comrhunity
organizations and businesses aswell
as citizens for monetary donations
to continue~providing help to those
in need in bur community. As news
spreads of the help being provided,
requests are now outnumbering the
Lions Club's ability to help.
Once a request is received, the
individual's application is screened
to insure that other avenues of
assistance are pursued before the
Lions Club provides help.
Donations can be mailed to: Lions
