A team of(20) students at Hinton High School scored 1209 of 2,000 possible points. Tis is the fourth time Hinton High School has en- tered the Knowledge Master compe- tition. Academic coach, Wayne Con- ner described the event as "Our students see that they can compete favorably with the best across our country in this competitive event." The Knowledge Master Open was designed to stimulate interest and recognition for academic accomplish- ment. The contest was developed to run on classroom computers in order to provide all schools the opportu- nity to compete in a national aca- demic contest without the expense of traveling to a central site. Results of the contest are tabu- lated into national, state, and en- rollment-size rankings by Academic Hallmarks, a Colorado publishing firm that hosts the event.
