Although the signs are approxi-

There are two large parking,

TRASH COMPACTORS
Question: With a household
of six people, I feel a compac-
tor could save a lot of work.
But we don't need anything
else in the house that will
consume electricity. Just how
much electricity will a com-
pactor use?
Answer: A compactor actu-
ally uses very little electrici y.
Whirlpool Corporation, who
invented and first introduced
the home trash compactor,
advises that a compactor can
be expected to use about 8
kilowatt hours a year, at a
cost of about 30 to 40 per
year.
Question: How much does
a compacted bag of trash
hold and how much does it
weigh?
Answer: You can expect a
compactor bag to hold about
a week's trash for a family of
four. It will weigh about 25
pounds. ,
