God Bless You. §9%ficfx?lsfi?ili and Janet “The TI‘IIIII SIIaII Make “III II'BB" [John 8:32] Faith-Lesson 15 As we continue testing ourselves to see if we are in the faith, we must ask ourselves, what do we call ourselves religiously? Are we “Baptist,” “Methodist,” “Roman Catholic,” “Pentecostal Holiness,” “Lutheran,” or any other denominational or non-denominational name? How many of us diligently search the New Testament to see what those who have the faith taught by the apostles and the gospel preachers in the first century were called? Isaiah 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name. The Lord promised he would call his people by a new name which he did in the New Testament. Acts 11:26 And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Acts 26:28 ThenAgrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. 1 Peter 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. Next week we will see about wearing other names. Paid by Shockley Hill church of Christ 304-466-5907 or 304-253-9570. Written by Paul E.
