The Summers County Solid Waste
Authority has changed its regular'
monthly meeting date. Beginningin
May the meetings will be held on the
second Thui-s. of each month at 7:00
PM at their office at 301 Temple St.
in Hinton.

Upland Baptist Church will have
a weiner roast Sat. May 8th. with
gospel music by Stanley Bragg and
Band 5 PM to 8:30 PM.

reading parking meters. Monthly
parking stickers are available at City
Hall.

STUDENTS AND
GRADUATES
The Sixth Graders at Bellepoint
School will be taking orders through
May 14th. for sweatshirte and tee-
shirts with a hand-drawn picture of
Bellepoint School on the front. Sweat-
shirts will cost $16.00 for adults and
$15.00 for youth sizes.
Tee.shirts will cost $10.00 for
adults sizes and $9.00 foryouth sizes.
Orders must be prepaid and shirts
will take approximately two weeks
to be delivered.
Money will be used for Sixth Grade
field trips. Please help out by order-
ing your shirt today. These would
make great gifts for anyone who
attended Bellepoint School. For more

FARMERS TAILGATE
MARKET
There will be an organizational
meeting for Summers County Agri-
culture Producers concerning the
Farmers Tailgate Market.

Bird Walks At
Pipestem
Pipestem State Park, in prepara-
tion for it's Century Day Bird County
on May 8, will be offering bird walks
every morning at 9:00am May 1- 7.
These walks will leave each morn-
ing from the Nature Center at
Pipestem, and will last approxi-
mately 1 1/2 hours, and are for the
beginning or advanced birder. The
only thing we recommend you bring
is a field guide and binoculars if you
have them. If weather is not favor-
able a slide show on birds will be
presented in the Nature Center.
The Century Day Bird County
will be conducted on Sat. May 8 by
Park Naturalists and members of
the Bibbee Nature Club. The pur-
pose of the count is to try and locate
at least 100 species of birds in one
day. If you are interested in helping
with the count, please meet at the
parking lot to Pipestem Knob at
Pipestem State Park at 8:00am, or
at Bellepoint Park at the base of the
Bluestone Dam at 8:00am.

MOTHER'S DAY SERVICE
Mother's Day observatfon will be
held at 11 A.M. Sun. at Second
Baptist Church, Rev. Matthew Saun-

HINTON HIGH SCHOOL 1944
CLASS REUNION
The Hinton High School gradu-
ates of 1944 are planning their 50th.
class reunion for Aug. 1994. A corn-"
mittee consisting of Joe Clark Big-
ony, Nathan Clark, Margaret Mead-
ows Davi s, Amma Jean Frazier Lilly,
Phyllis Parker Rice and Ralph Owen
Wilson, Jr. has been working for the
past several months obtaining ad-
dressed of the class members.
The committee has been unable
to obtain the addresses of the follow-
ingmembers: Billy Joe Adams, Billy
Joe Ferrell, Peggy Muirhead
Humphries, Leona Ann Konopitski,
Janice Mae Reese, Betty Lou Russell
and Frances Ann Sharer Humph-
ries.

KESLER/KESSLER FAMILY
REUNION
The Kesler/Kessler Family Reun-
ion will be held June 13, 1993 at
Pence Springs Resort, Pence Springs,
W.Va. (located on Rt. 3/12 between
Hinton and Alderson.)
Visiting will begin at 11 a.m. with
a luncheon at 12 noon and a meeting
following lunch. Price of lunch $9,10
per person. There is no available
overnight accommodations at the
Resort.
Morris Kessler from Champaign,
IL. will be present. Be sure and bring
any ioteresting materials pertain-
ing.to the Kester/Kessler lines. Please

Herbert Lee Wills Ill
Celebrates
First Birthday
Herbert Lee Wills III, son of
Melissa and Herbert Lee Wills Jr. of
Hinton, celebrated his first birthday
on Sun., Apr. 25th. Herb III had a
birthday party at the National Guard
Armory with his family and friends.
His party theme was Sesame Street.
Maternal grandparents are Mr.
Tom Patrick and Patty and Lee Hunt,
all of Hinton. Paternal grandpar-
ents are Elaine and Herbert Wills
Sr. of Jumping Branch.

SPAGHETTI DINNER -
TALCOTT JR. HIGH SCHOOL
There will be a spaghetti dinner
held at Talcott Jr. High School, on
Thurs., May 6, from 5:30 P.M. till
8:00 P.M. Cost for adults is $4.50
and children (12 and under) $3.50.
Dinner includes lettuce salad and
dressing, spaghetti plate with sauce,
bread and butter, drink and dessert.
