VOTE STAN DUNCAN
CANDIDATE FOR SUMMERS COUNTY SCHOOL
BOARD GREENBRIER DISTRICT
Just because Debbie Clark has 8 years of experience on the
Board of Education does not mean that she is the only
qualified candidate in the Greenbrier District. Nor does it
mean that she has exercised good judgement during those 8
years. HelL" lack of good judgement the last 8 years as a
representative of the Greenbrier District on the Summers
County Board of Education:
-has not been a good experience for 5th graders Uprooted
prematurely from their elementary schools;
-has not been good for the citizens who pay the taxes that
were spent unwisely on a 141,oo0 salary for the Past
Superintendent;
~id not and ~vill not move the needle forward for more
Vocational/Trade School (CTE) Classes that dozens and
dozens of citizens and students have told zne they want; Cyou
know we have large numbers of students who are not college
bound)
-has not provided our teachers and students with the math
tutorial programs needed to raise scores to acceptable levels!
NOTHING IS EASY! LEADERS TAKE ON THE CHALLENGE
OF DIFFICULT PROBLEMS TO IMPROVE SCHOOLS FOR ALL
STUDENT S:
WE MUST HAVE EVENING BOARD MEETINGS AND

BECOME SATISFIED WITH THE WAY THINGS HAVE
ALWAYS BEEN AND HIDE BEHIND THE STATEMENT, "'THE
STATE PRETTY MUCH DECIDES WHAT WE CAN DO AND AS
A BOARD MEMBER YOU REALLY CANNOT DO MUCH;"
HAVE HEARD IT TOO MANY TIMES AND FOR TOO ~KANY
YEARS. IF THAT IS THE CASE, WHY SHOULD WE SPEND
MONEY FOR 5 BOARD MEMBERS?
What they say is a mixture of truth and falsehoods that are
convenient places to hide their inactivity. DO NOT ACCEPT
THOSE POSITIONS AND BELIEVE IN ASKING, "~-IY NOT
AND HOW CAN WE DO BFTTER FOR ALL SUMMERS
COUNTY STUDENTS?" THERE HAS BEEN A SERIOUS LACK
OF BOARD MEMBER LEADERSHIP ON THE SUMMERS
COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION FOR FAR TOO LONG. WE
NEED PROBLEM SOLVERS! IT IS PAST TIME FOR CHANGE
AND VOTERS CAN BRING THAT ABOUT THIS ELECTION.
yOU C AN . V -O TE F-OR STAN DUNCAN REGARDLESS OF
WHERE YOU L!~IN SUMMERS COUNTy! * Although you
can vote for up to 3 candidates, ONLY ONE BOARD MEMBER
CAN BE ELECTED TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION IN THE
GREENBRIER DISTRICT, MY CANDIDACY IS FOR THE SEAT
HELD BY DEBBIE CLARK FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS. IF
RECEIVE MORE VOTES THAN DEBBIE CLARK WILL
REPLACE HER ON THE BOARD OF EDUCATION! IF YOU
W ANT TO V-O TE F-OR STAN, DO NOT VOTE FOR CLARK AS
THAT WILL CANCEL OUT 2 OF YOUR VOTES! Far too much
is at stake to keep doing things the same way.
