Youth Appreciation Week
May %13, has been designated by
the Region I Adolescent Pregnancy
Prevention Task Force as =Youth
Appreciation Week'. The purpose of
this special week is to highlight
certain youth organizations in our
county who promote a positive ex-
ample of responsibility, community
involvement and personal growth.
Summers County- Athletic Pro-
grams, SADD, Special Olympics,
Honor Society, Key Club, Suicide
Preventions, Awana, FHA, FBLA,
Drug Awareness Project, Drop-Out
Prevention, Tri - Hi Y, 4-H, and Boy
Scouts.

and forthcoming marriage of their
daughter, Erika Millicent to Alan
Perry Thomas of Greenville,W.Va.
The bride-to-be is a 1986 gradu-
ate of Patchogue Medford High
School, Long Island, N.Y., and will
graduate in Aug. 1990 from Concord
College, Athens, W.Va., with a ma-
jor in Social Work and a minor in
Psychology.

is a 1986~graduate of Union High

Teresa Seldomridge of Falls
Church, Va., formerly of Hinton, and
Francisco Carcia, of Falls Church,
Va. and Barcelona, Spain were
married Apr. 4, at the First Presby-
terian Church in Hinton.
The bride is the daughter of Sue
Fischer Seldomridge and Lloyd Sel-
domridge of Hinton. The groom is
the son ofMr. & Mrs. Gines Garcia of
Barcelona, Spain.

Conservatory of Music in Winches-
ter, Va. The groom was educated in
Barcelona, Spain and most recently
at Georgetown University.
After a wedding trip to Spain, the
couple will reside in Falls Church
