Birthday
Nice things happen in the
month of March ~and these
ladies can testify to that. Mrs,
Howard Bishop, Mrs.-Laura-
belle Fox, and Mrs. Kather-
ine Atwell were treated to a
party in honor of their bir-
thday's celebration at different
dates during the month, by Mr.
and Mrs. Eddie Howdock in
their home Friday.
A birthday dinner was ser-
ved at noon and the aRer-
noon' was given to singing,
music, opening of gifts, and a
surprise visit from the " Old
Gray Mare". A cassette tape
was prepared of the day's fun to
be replayed next year.

Mission Society Meets:
A " Labor of Love" was put
into action when the Calvary
Baptist Mission Society met at
the church for the regular
March meeting Monday for a
workshop.
Using Psalms 23 as Script-
ure, devotions were presented
by Mrs. Jimmy Atwell. She also
read a poem and closed with
prayer.
Roll call was answered with
Romans 12:9 and a report of 15
sunshine cards, home missions
and sick visits given. Other
business was completed, pray-
er requests made known and
circle prayer closed the meet-

plant your vegetable seeds, do

Mr. William R. (Bill) Gore, is the son of W. Jason Gore and the late
Virginia Hunter Gore. He is married to the former Jean Brebb and is
the father of two children. Kristi Ruth, a freshman at W. Va.
University and a son J. Jason Gorel a seventh grade student at Hinton
High School.
Mr. Gore is an employee of the C & P Telephone Company and has
worked on many of your phones in your homes. He enjoys serving the
people whether it he in his capacity as a telephone employee or that as
a Commissioner.
Mr. Gore would like to serve the PEOPLE of Summers County
again as a Commissioner.
