And old friend inquired about
Marshall McBride and his
family in a get well card sent to
Levi McBride after reading in
the Hinton News about his
admittance to the Summers Co.
Hospital. The sender was Mrs.
Ruth Rose in Pennsylvania. The
popularity of the Hinton News is
growing since it is the only
paper that carries all the Hinton

state subscriptions as gifts sent
to friends and relatives. After
all what could be a more en-
joyable gift than news from

their children live in the Pipe-

Cooking Hints For The Brides
Kitchen- About selecting pets
and pans- Housewares depart-
ments offer so many glamor-
ous lines of cookware it is
difficult to choose which is best.
That porcelain- lined, double
weight copper asparagus
steamer with brass handles is
stumming, but is it necessary?
No at $69.98 unless you are rich
and fond of steamed asparagus.
$69.98 will buy many of the
basics of the beginning kitchen.
The point is to buy what ut-
ensils you will use frequently
then add the more specializer
items as you need them. Qual-
ity counts and should not be
sacrificed for the sake of a
pretty pet. Here are some shop-
ping tips to guide you when
buying. Look for utensils dur-
able enough to withstand daily
ise without wearing thin, dent-
ing, warping, cracking or dis-
coloring. Medium to heavy
weight cookware, sturdily con-
structed with fiat bottoms, st-
raight or gently flared sides and
snug ( but easy to remove) lids.
Note: decorative enamel ware
is sometimes too lightweight to
cook food without scorching it.
Well balanced skillets and
sauce pans that will stand
