Mrs. EstU Adki, pr sident, called the meeting order at I:00 P.M. Mrs. James Burdette was in charge of the devotions using Psalms 46 as Scripture. A cow gregational song was sung foil owed with prayer. Roll call and minutes were read and approved, Sunshine visits and missions war record- ed. Birthday Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Howdock were host in their home to Birthday Dinner in honor of Mrs• Katherine Atwell of Pen-: ce Springs, Mrs• Alma Harem of Pine Hill and Mrs. Beaulah Mrs. James Mccomas, card Hartwell, Treasurer- Mrs. chairman, reported six cards Charles Cox, Card- chairman sent from the circle during the mrs. James Burdette, Flower month. There was no old business.. Several items of new business were discussed• Bible school will be brought up at the Ap- ril meeting and a final date set. A fund raising project was chosen by the circle for needed church repairs and missions. Elective officers for the com- ing year were chosen as follows: President, Mrs. Jack Ward, Vice- President, Mrs. Jean Hall, Secretary- Mrs• Jack Chairperson- Mrs. Earl Cox• Master Eric Hartwell served as usher for the love- offering. • Mrs• Robert Burdette conducted the Bible Quiz on Matthew 14 and 15. Mrs. Jim Cochran and mrs. Eddie Harris tied for fwst place with the most correct answers• The April meeting will be April ?Ath at the church. De- votional leader and hostess will be Mrs. Estfl Adldus. Quiz leader will be Mrs. James Bur- dette on Matthew 16 and 17. Love remembrances were presented to secret sisters• Everyone received a useful gift. During the fellowship hour, games were played and winners were Mrs. Earl Cox and mrs. Jim Cochran. Mrs. Jean Hall served refreshments to 13 mem- bers and three children, Mrs. Earl Cox, Mrs. Jim Cochran, mrs. Details ..- time, date and place Craft Center To Open The Studio, an art gallery and crafts center, located at Pipe- stem State Park, is now open for the 1979 season. Demonstrations and exhibits in leather work, stained glass, candle making, and wheel thrown pottery, as we]] as many other artists and craftsmen who are expected to be on hand. In addition, there will be mountain dulcimer music during the opening week-end. This non- profit art and craft center, sponsored by Concord College, is beginning its eight- th season with all works coming from West Virginia artists and craftsmen. Paintings, sculpt- ure, jewelry, quilts, and many other items at The Studio have been admired by Pipestem guests from all over the world. Classes will include survey methods; collecting, identify- ing, and preserving marine specimens; behavior of marine animals; chemical and physical components of the sea; and coastal geology. "In our first two years, we definitely showed that different types of handicapped students could participate in field trips and work in our laboratories, " Keller explained. .. ....
