want to thank the Moose for so generously letting us use their
building and Mrs. Richard Meador and her daughter Debbie
Cole for all those wonderful decorations. As soon as all the
accounting has been done we will report that, but I am sure Ole
Inchy will make some real headway up his chart.
While we were busy making plans for the Ball last week,
three boxes of new books arrived. It was just like Christmas !
Among the new arrivals were the following npvels:

If passed the levy would allocate

make mistakes, but I have to believe
there will be less mistakes made

I have always found it difficult to

Ear Drops for Some
Types of Earaches
Earache is one of the most pain-
ful conditions experienced by small
children. The most common cause
for earaches is infection. And
middle ear infections (otitis me-
dia) are very common in children.
The treatment of this infection
usually requires the care of a phy-
sician and the use of prescription
antibotic medicines given by mouth
and/or injection.
Infections in the external part
of the ear (otitis externa) are some-
times referred to as "swimmer's
ear." The ear canal may itch and
becomeinflammed. In manycases
a yellow fluid drains from the ex-
ternal canal at night and is visible
on one's pillowthe next morning.
Ear drops may be effective in
relieving the itching and pain asso-
ciated with external ear infections.
Aluminum acetate solution, for
example, may help decrease swel-
ling within the ear and eliminate
crusting of the ear canal.
Some authorities recon'/ aaend
these ear drop precautions: wash
both hands before using ear drops.
Hold the top of the ear up and back
so as to help straighten the tar
canal. Do not insert the medicine
dropper into the ear or touch the
dropper to the skin or other sur-
faces. If the drops cause burning or
itching for more than a few min-
utes after use, contact your physi-
cian.
