John Henry Park
Commemorative
Brick
Orders will be taken until the end
of March for one of the eight spaces
remaining for John Henry Historical
Park commemorative bricks. These
bricks along with those previously
ordered will be installed on a wing
on the existing wall located near the
Great Bend Tunnel.
The commemorative bricks are
approximately 4"x8" which allows
inscriptions of up to three lines with
16 spaces on each line. They will
become a permanent part of the park
and provide a perfect way to show
your family's support of the park,
promote a business, recognize a
group, or commemorate loved ones.
For more information or to get an
order form to reserve one of the
remaining eight bricks spaces,
either stop by the VvWU Extension
Office in the Memorial Building in
Hinton or call 304-466-7113. Brick
spaces will be reserved in the order
that completed order forms with an
accompanying $100 contribution
check are received. Plans call for the
wall to be completed in time for the
2016 John Henry Days celebration
provided the bricks can be fabricated
before then.
