Everyone welcome! Uohn 8:32] 11 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? As we continue our studies, let us examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith. The only way we can know for sure is to examine that which we believe, or have been taught, by all that the New Testament teaches. Romans 10:17. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. If our faith came by the word of God, we would all speak the same thing, and there would be no divisions among us. God's word teaches us in 1 Corinthians chapterl- 1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that-ye all speak the same thing, and there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. If we believe 1 Corinthians chapter I and verse 10, we will have faith to understand we must "all speak the same thing," we ca.mot be divided, and we must be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. Those who believe the New Testament understand this. Since we are to all speak the same thing, we must all speak the same plan of salvation that Peter spoke to the believing Jews in Acts chapter 2. Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name, of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. If we believe what Peter said we will have faith to understand that baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is for the remission of sins. If we do not believe what the Holy Ghost spoke through Peter, we are still in our sins. Paid by Shockley Hill church of Christ 304-466-5907 or 304-253-9570. Written by Paul E.
