Brown of Lewis- . burg, West Virginia. The groom's parents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter John- son. The groom is a resident of Pembroke, Virginia. The marriage took place March 3, 1984 at 3 P.M. in the Second Baptist Church at ToE- colt, West Virginia. Rev. C. C. Logan officiated. Mrs. Mary Alice Jackson and Mrs. Ruthie Bowles provided the music for the wedding. Two solos were sung. They were" We've Just Begun" and the Lord's Prayer sung by Mrs. Ruthie Mae BowleR, accom- panied by her mother, Mrs. Mary Alice Jackson at the piano, beth cousins of the bride. Given in marriage by Paul. Greene, the bride's son. The bride wore a light blue lace bridal gown with nylon lace over acetate taffeta lining, ny- lon lace trim• Ribbon and but- ton trimmed yoke framed by a deep ruffle, with a flounce skirt with hook and loop at back waist to form a .cascade of lace• Ruffle cuffs at elasticized wa- ists. Ribbon tie. Long back zipper. Meeting opened with the purpose by the group. Myrtle "Bryant and Pat Miller presented the devotions of program. Devotions - Scrip- ture from Isiah. 6 - Chapter 6 - 8 verse. Matt• 19 - 20. Response reading - Goal for Methodist Women . Program - Skit - " Who Are We" by Myrtle Bry- ant and Pat Miller. Prayer closed the program. Business meeting called to order by the President, Pat Miller. Roll call answered with a Bible verse and collection of dues. Minutes were read and reports given. Bible Chapters reported read were 228. Sick visits made were 39 and cards sent were 12. The socieity voted to sponsor a child at the Becidey Child Care Center. The date of March 27at 7o' clock at the church set for a Bible Book Study of " Central Africia." A discussion of how to raise money and to vote on at next meeting which is April 13.
