Summers Blueprint Roundtable
with the Hinton Area Foundation
and First Century Bank, is proud to
announce we are a 2015 Affordable
Housing Program (AHP) grant
recipient!
This project, known as Summers
Hinton Home Help 101, will provide
an owneroccupied housing
rehabilitation program for
homeowners within the city limits
of Hinton, W.Va. Many housing units
in the city are owned by elderly, low-
income and disabled families and
are in need of mocles, repairs• The
five-year forgivable grant program
will target four single-family

with household income at or below
50 percent of the area median
income.

Individuals must attend and
complete five out of the six classes
to qualify for a completion

The classes are designed to
empower each participant with the
knowledge to effectively manage
diabetes, meet glucose targets, and
prevent or manage complications
from the disease.
Participants will learn about
diabetes risks, nutrition, weight
management, stress control, how to
properly manage medications and
much more. Past participants have
reported weight loss, improvement
of lab results and a decrease in
medications.
