During the business the group voted to give a donation of 25 cents per member to IFYE, International Farm Youth Ex- change Program. County camp was announced for June 25- 29 at The Greenbrier Camp at Anth- ony. Also on March 31, County meeting contest will be held in Visual Presentation; Public Speaking; and Talent Contest, each member is urged to part- icipate. Steve Chandler gave a talk on his project "This Is 4-H". For the program the group was invited by the Pioneer 4-H Club to see the film, "Mike's Decision", shown by Monroe County Nurse, Mrs. Lois Mc- Cutcheon. A talk by Arnette Brown on "Good Grooming"; Song, West Virginia Boys and Girls led by Jackie Long, Missy Milton, Rodney Bradley, Steve Chandler. The Mdrch meeting will be the Conservation com- mittee, Shedlon Brown, Kim Bonds, and Christa Richardson. Refreshments were served by Christy Johnston, Lynn Buckland, and counselor Mrs. B.A. Long to 21 members and assistant counsellor, Mrs. Tony Noble. Refreshment committee for March is Jeff Lilly, Rodney Brown and Tina Sparks. Robin Persinger Engagement Announced Mr. and Mrs• Garland A. Persinger of Pence Springs, W. V. proudly announces the en- gagement of their daughter, Robin Eliza Evelina Persinger to PV2 Gerald K. Richmond. Gerald is the son of Mrs. Syble Richmond and the late Arley Richmond of Clayton, WV. His is in the U.S. Army and is presently stationed at Fort" Bragg, N•C. He is also a 1978 graduate of Talcott High School. Robln is a senior at Talcott High School and will graduate in the spring. The couple plan to have an open church wedding in June. Unless Congress intervenes within 90 days these cuts will automatically go into effect the first of October. ..Senator Jennings Randolph and Represen- tative Nick Joe Rahall are sponsoring resolutions in the Senate and House to reject the Transportation Department recommen&tions. At this time they have not received a great deal of support. It is extremely important that they receive letters from the •people in the areas that would be affected by the loss of the train. • .People who can now drive their own ears should remember that in the case of s rationing they will be needing an alternate means of transportation. • .Write a simple letter explaining your feelings and situation to any or all of the following legislators.
