OH; a Survivors include a son, Fred W. son, Dennie Ray Hall, Jr. of Thompson Jr. and wife, Jean, of Sandusky, OH; special family Ballengee; a daughter, Beverly Jean members, Jim and Donna Michaels; three stepsons, Keith, Bill, and Terry; a stepdaughter, Laura; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; a brother, Jessie Orman Fulks of Middletown, OH, several nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Molly Dunn. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dennie Ray Hall; her second husband, Vernon Michaels; her parents, Jessie and Myrtle(Lacey) Fulks; three brothers, Chester, Charlie, and John; and a child in infancy. Friends may call on Sunday from 4-7:00 p.m. in the Graft Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1:00 p.m.. in the funeral home with Reverend Bill Grande, of the First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery, Margaretta Twp., Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Sign Fund, 3410 Hayes Ave., Sandusky OH 44870. RICHARD STANLEYMORGAN Richard Stanley Morgan, 67, of New River Road, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital, Hinton, following a long illness. Born Sept. 16, 1936, at Pineville, he was the son of the late Murray St. Elmo 'Pete  and Garnet Lea Bailey Morgan. Richard Dick  was a former resident of Pineville and was a graduate of Greenbrier Military School. He had attended Concord College and was retired from Lance Foods Inc. Survivors include a son, Matthew Tonnie Morgan and wife, Betty, of St. Albans; a daughter, Cynthia Anne Mullens and husband, Tommy, of Hinton; four grandchildren, Julie, Stephanie, Nathan and Heather; two sisters, Garnett Jo Rider and husband, Robert, of Roanoke, VA., and Elizabeth Anne Sweeney and husband, Gary, o'f Charlotte, N.C.; three nieces, four nephews; and two grand-nephews. At his request, Dick's body was cremated. There was no service. Arrangements by Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors, Hinton. THELMA P. sna, mNS Theima P. Simpkins, 85, of Shady Spring, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at the Raleigh Care Center at Daniels, following a long illness. Born in Summers County on March 3,1917, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Julia Harvey. Mrs. Simpkins was a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church, Shady Spring. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Simpkins; a brother, Roy Harvey; and a sister, Mary Neely. Survivors include a son, Toddy Simpkins and wife, Darlene of Six Mile, S.C.; five daughters, Betty Moss and husband, Kelly of Maysville, K'Y., Laura Plumley of Gainesville, Fla., Carol Hampton of Shady Spring, Sue Simpkins of Shady Spring, and Mary Lynn Rodriguez and husband, Joe of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great- grandchildren. Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 19th. at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Delvin D. Elwell, Jr., officiating. Burial followed in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Friends called one hour before the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Arrangements by Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring. FRED W. THOMPSON SP Fred W. Thompson, Sr., 77, of Ballengee, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at the VA Medical Center, Decatur, GA., following a short illness. Born June 15, 1925, at Ballard, he was the son of the late Oran Wilson and Maude Lou Hill Thompson. Mr. Thompson was retired from Greenbrier Nurseries at Talcott and was a former U.S. Mail carrier. He was known throughout the area as a horse trader. He was a U.q. Army veteran of World War II, having been combat wounded. He was the recipient of two Purple Hearts, one with oak leaf cluster, Middle Eastern/European Campaign Medal, two Bronze Battle Stars, American Campaign Medal and a Victory Medal. He was preceded in .death by his wife, Virginia M. Mickie" Thompson; and several brothers and sisters. Brown and husband,. Paul, of Jefferson, GA.; a brother, Tommy Thompson and wife, Lillie, of Mascotte, Fla.; a sister, Ruth Mowery of Forest Hill; grandchildren, Seth Wilson Thompson of Ballengee, Doug Brown and wife, April, of Rock Hill, S.C.; and Chad Brown of Jefferson, GA.; two stepgrandchildren, Michael Pack and wife, Rachel of Raleigh, N.C., and Mark Pack of Essex Junction, Vt.; and a stepgreat- grandson, Tristan Pack of Raleigh. Services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20th. at Oak Grove Methodist Church, Ballengee, with Pastor Bill Jenkins officiating. Bural followed in Oak Grove Cemetery, Ballengee. Pallbearers were Dean, Gene and. Warren Tabor, J.D. Tilghman, and Charlie and Jimmy Nelson. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Richmond and Jim Monroe.
