Stan Duncan
I am Stan Duncan, candidate for
the Summers County Board of
Education and I wish to thank
you for the time you are taking
to read this article. Obviously,
you are a concerned citizen
taking an interest in our school
system. My filing to run for the
board of education was an easy
decision.
I retired June 15, 2015 after 26
years as a teacher and coach at
6 schools in 5 different systems
in Virginia and West Virginia.
Based upon my experience as an
educator, retired insurance
business owner, insight into our
schools as a result of teaching in
Summers County the last 12
years, and a Master of Education
in Educational Leadership I felt
I still had something to offer in
the field of education.
I wish to thank all of the
candidates who have filed to run
for the Summers County Board
of Education.
Such interest speaks well for our
community with so many
citizens willing to be public
servants.
I look forward to a vigorous
debate of the issues, and
problems that confront our
school system.
