Four Raleigh COunty Students were ~n on the
action in the House of 'Delegates last Tues.
day. The Clear Fork High School students were
the guests of Raleigh Coanty Delegate Jack Renp
and Summers County Delegate Jack Holt. Brian
Toney, Dei. Jack Poop, Del. Jack H.olt, l)eren
Teney, Donna Williams, Clear Fork High School
teacher Sharon Bennett and Bremen Thoma-
soon met for a few minutes after the House
session.
Training
pecial Athletes
January was a busy month
for our Special Olympians.
They participated in training
sessions on January 7, 21, and
28. In general, they were in-
structed in warm-up exercises
and track and field events.
From this training the athletes
@ill be assigned to specific
events such as softball throw
and standing long jump' for
future competition.
The athletes were shown the
special Olympic sport of Run,
Dribble and Shoot. After pract-
ice scores were recorded. Our
petition in March.
Our training sessions were
successful thanks to voltmteers
from High School organizat-
ions, parents, interested citiz-
ens and the athletes themsel-
ves. We are still in need of
