Enrollment for 2016-2017

Summers County Schools and
CASE WV Head Start work
collaboratively to offer high quality
preschool services to the young
children of Summers County. Pre-K
classrooms are available at Jumping
Branch Elementary, Talcott
Elementary, Hinton Area
Elementary and the CASE WV
Head Start Center for all children
who will be four years of age by
September 1. All classrooms offer
fully inclusive services for students
with special needs.
Enrollment for children who wish
to attend either of these programs
for the 2016-2017 school year will be
held on Friday, March 18, 2016, at
the Memorial Building in Hinton
from 8:00 - 3:00.

PANCAKE DINNER
The Fat Tuesday Annual Pancake
Dinner will be held on Tuesday, Feb.
9 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. It will be
followed by a service of Ashes at 7 to
recognize the beginning of Lent.
Everyone is welcome. Plenty of
pancakes and all the fixings will be
waiting!
The dinner is free. Ascension is
located at the corner of 5th and
Temple across from the middle
school.

Summers County clawed their
way from 13 points down in the 4th
quarter to grab a lead only to see
Mt7 View hit a desperation three at
the buzzer in regulation to push the
game into overtime. Mount View
grabbed the early lead in OT but the
Bobcats in their most determined
effort of the season found a way to
pull out the win with many key plays
from numerous players. Matt Ryan
led all scoring with 26 points and he
also passed out 9 assists, while
Andrew Richmond tossed in 19 with
12 boards and Braxton Adkins,
Antonio Ford, and Dacota Thomas
scored 10 apiece, Thomas grabbed

I am announcing my candidacy for re-election to the House of Delegates for the
28th district• I am currently serving my second term in the people's seat. I serve
on the following committees; Education, Health and Human Resources,
Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Veteran Affairs and Homeland Security. I
serve as vice-chairman of the Veterans committee. It has been an honor to have
served in the people's seat thus far and I look forward to having that honor and
privilege once again. During my term in office I have made every effort to be
accessible and responsive to the people I serve. It is my hope that I have
demonstrated the integrity and principles that would allow me to continue to
