Especially do we thank family and friends who stuck with us through everything. Thanks to Robbie Merritt and Jeff Canterbury for always being there during all the surgeries, treatments, and numerous hospital stays.‘ It helped so much to know that we had such loving support from our friends, family members, church families and anyone else who spoke special'prayers, sent cards or food, made visits, etc. The outpouring of love and concern which was shown to us in Eddie's last days was overwhelming from Dr. Khan, the entire Summers County ARH family and the staff of Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors. They could not do enough to try to make our burden a little easier. We also want to thank everyone willing to serve as pallbearers and carry him on his last journey here on earth and the special recognition displayed by members of the Hinton Fire Department. He is now in heaven where there are no more tears and the agonizing pain is gone forever. He is now perfect. a Love to all of you. You will always be remembered. Faith—lesson 4 Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. If we believe what Jesus said in Matthew 16:28, and Mark 9: 1 , we will have faith to understand the kingdom came with power in Acts chapter 2. Why? Because faith comes by hearing the word of God, Romans 10:17. Jesus asked a question in Luke chapter 18 Luke 18:8 Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? The apostle Paul, in his letter to the Lord's church at Ephesus, tells them, and us today, there is "One faith," Ephesians 4:5. Since there is only one faith why are there a multitude of different faiths taught in the world today? We find the faith taught by Muslims, the many different faiths taught by the denominational world, the faith taught by the Roman Catholics, even the faith taught by atheist. These many different faiths cannot all be right, but they can all be wrong. Why? Because the apostle Paul, speaking by the Holy Ghost, said there is one faith. Paul tells us what the one faith is in Romans 10:17. Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Since the New Testament is the word of God, we must believe all that the New Testament reveals, not just the pans of it we feel comfortable with. One of the big misconceptions the religious world has, is the New Testament begins with Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, which is not according to the scriptures. . Hebrews 9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. Paid by Shockley Hill church of Christ 304-466-5907 or 304-253-9570. Written by Paul E.
