It's time for America'• favorite
cookies--Girl Scout Cookies. Each
year the nation's 2.5 million Girl
Scouts sell enough cookies to circle
the globe. And once again. Girl
Scouts throughout Black Diamond
Girl Scout Council will be taking
orders in your area for these well
loved treats beginning January 8
tnrough January 25, 1999. The 63rd
annual sale will debut two new
varieties of cookies, a natural
reduced-fat Apple Cinnamon variety
and a crispy natural-flavored Lemon
Drop cookie with creamy lemon
chips baked right in.
In all, eight varieties of Girl Scout
peanut butter and chocolate); Do-si-
do (oatmeal peanut butter cremes),
Striped Chocolate Chip (a real
chocolate chip and pecan cookie with
chocolate •tripes and a bottom layer
of chocolate), and Trefoil shortbread
cookie• will return to the selection.
Cookies are $3.00 per box, with
all proceeds going to support the
local Girl Scout Council.
The sale provides funds to
support troop activitie• such as field
trips, camping and service project•.
