BOYS BASKETBALL NEWS The Summers County Freshman Boys Basketball opened their sea- son on Dec. 2nd. with a 49-23 win over the Princeton Tigers. Greg Cales 4 pts., Travis Pack 2 pts., Derek Mann 11 pts., Brian Cooper 7 pts., Josh Bolar 5 pts., John Curia 10 pts., Jason Stover 4 pts., Brian Bowling 2 pts., David Allen 2 pts. and Brad Hutchison 2 pts. For their second game, they trav- eled to Bluefield on Dec. 13th. to take on the Beavers. The Bobcats won with a score of 51-37. Mans- field and his wife Betty of Pedatka, Fla.; Ronnie D. Mansfield and his wife Brenda of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Richard L. Mansfield and his wife Ginger of Hinton and Johnny W. Mansfield and his wife Sandra of Hinton; two sisters, Twila Wilson of Galax, Vs. and Carrie Wood of Jumping Branch; one half sister, Elva Jean Willey of Crab Orchard; one brother, Paul Waddell of Ch- ester, Vs.; fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wed. Dec. 20 at the Ronedd Meadows Funeral Parlor Chapel in Hinton, with Pastor Elmo Alderman officiating. Buried will follow in the Lilly Family Cemetery at Jumping Branch. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-9 P.M. Tues. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Co- chran, David Burdette, Paul Grim- mett, Eddie Ratliff, Bernard Cox, and Lonnie Cedes. Arrangements by Ronedd Mead- ows Funeral Parlor, Inc. of Hinton. MR. ALTON A. (RIT) RIDDLEBERGER Mr. Alton SL (RIT) Riddleberger of Atlanta-Decatur, died Mon. Dec. 4, 1995. Mr. Riddleberger was a native of Hinton, and attended Randolph Macon Academy, Marshall College and the University of Fla. at Gainesville. He lived in Huntington and Charleston, then in Naples, Fla. before coming to the Atlanta area. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Naples, Fla. and was ammciated with the Resort Hotel Business for many year, Survivors include his wife, Ruth Berry Cede Riddleberger; one sister, Mrs. Roy Eaglet of Washburn, Marshall, Vs.; one stepdaughter, Beverly Caldwell, Newton, N.C.; one stepson, Bennett F. Cede, Hickory, N.C.; 5 stepgrandchildren, one rdece, Mrs. Arthur R. Seder, Jr., Marshall, Va.,; severed great nieces and one great nephew. Interment services will be held at a later date at the Woodmere Ceme- tery in Huntington.
