I would like to once again state my position on three key issues facing Our district and our state. 1) The Homestead Exemption allowance must be raised to provide relief for our senior citizens. However, the legislature must provide for the loss of tax revenue each county might encounter as a result. If the legislature can vote to give casinos millions of tax dollars to buy slot machines, surely any loss in revenue that a county ight face if the Homestead Exemption is raised can be compensated for. i- 2) There has to be legislative action taken to assist the local jurisdictions in managing the epidemic of drug abuse that is affecting our communities. 3) We must do all that is possible to attract business investment into our state and our counties. C . You will be able to vote for two candidates for House of Delegates in the u-ommg election. I wOutd very much appreciate being one of thce choices. Roy Cooper ' Pol. ad paid by Roy Cooper .
